Company History

In 1966 Jack Wallick formed Wallick Construction Company to uphold the commitments and contracts of an out-of-state contractor who ceased operations in the state of Ohio. Soon, he and his colleague, Mr. Sanford Goldston, not only fulfilled those commitments, they succeeded in building one of the Midwest's most respected construction, management and real estate development organizations. Today, Wallick operates in several midwest states, and other select regions of the U.S., and remains agile to meet the growing and changing needs of the real estate industry.

The combination of Mr. Wallick's talents as an engineer, builder, and general contractor and Mr. Goldston's expertise as a certified public accountant and financial advisor, led The Wallick Companies to success. The company quickly gained expertise in the development, construction, and management of affordable housing under various federal programs. This active involvement in the affordable housing industry continues today, providing construction and management services through its own operating divisions and numerous third-party clients as well.

In addition, Wallick is active in the construction and management of assisted living facilities, nursing homes, market rate apartment communities, tax credit communities, high rise condominiums, retail centers, and office buildings. This diverse background has allowed the company to establish long-term relationships with investors, lenders, federal housing officials, state housing agency members, subcontractors, and suppliers.

While both Mr. Wallick and Mr. Goldston are now deceased, adherence to their business principles remains the bedrock of the Wallick Companies. Today, Wallick completes each undertaking with professionalism and fulfills the needs of each client with the same determination and commitment to excellence that motivated Jack Wallick to estasblish the company. The children of Mr. Wallick and present company owners, Julie Wallick and Howard Wallick, and their entire executive team are proud to carry on the legacy of developing, constructing, and managing affordable, quality housing.
