Wallick-Hendy Development Receives Tax Credit Awards

(07/02/2009) - Despite the tough economic climate, the Wallick Development team has been hard at work submitting applications to be considered for Tax Credit Awards. We are pleased to announce the Wallick-Hendy Development team has received four tax credit awards!

On May 7th, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) granted Wallick-Hendy Development with a Tax Credit Award that will allow a complete rehabilitation of Skybird Manor. In addition, IHCDA passed the teams request on June 26th for a second Tax Credit Award for the rehabilitation of Rushville Commons.  

On July 2nd, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OFHA) approved applications submitted for Almond Village and Berwick Apartments for a complete rehabilitation on both properties.

These rehabilitations will update the interior of the units and common areas, providing supportive services that will enable the senior residents to age within their units. Residents can also expect to see major improvements outside, as building upgrades will be included in the rehab.

The Ohio and Indiana Tax Credit Awards mark Wallick’s first awards since 2004.
