"Deans" of Affordable Housing Join Wallick Advisory Board

Columbus, OH (01/14/2009) -

Wallick has announced the creation of an Advisory Board of senior-level experts — "deans" of affordable housing — to provide guidance to its senior management team and owners. The Advisory Board currently has two outside members and a counsel. They are serving three-year terms. They are: retired Red Capital CEO William Roberts; Dr. Robert Weiler, MAI, CRE, Chairman of The Robert Weiler Company; and Squire Sanders attorney Michael Saad, Counsel to the Board.

Other members are company executives CEO Tom Feusse and Wallick-Hendy Development Managing Director David Hendy; and owners Howard Wallick and Julie Wallick.

In its advisory role, members will offer expertise and leadership to help expand Wallick’s three divisions. They will also work with the company’s management team on its strategic objectives and risk assessment in property management, construction and development.

"With the current turbulent economic climate, having advisory board members with this much experience and respect in the industry will help Wallick manage its assets wisely and expand into targeted markets," said Feusse.

Roberts is the recently-retired Chairman and CEO of the multi-billion dollar capital provider Red Capital Group, which includes Red Mortgage Capital, Inc., Red Capital Markets, Inc. and Red Capital Advisors, LLC. He has 30 years experience in real estate, project finance, investment banking, public finance and direct investments.

Weiler is Chairman of The Robert Weiler Company, a full-service real estate brokerage firm. He joined the company in 1957. Dr. Weiler has, with partners, developed more than 25 communities in central Ohio with single-family residential, apartment and commercial/industrial uses.

Saad leads Squire Sanders' real estate practice. His experience includes representing equity investors, financial institutions and other lenders and developers in a variety of debt, equity and mezzanine financings and syndications, as well as the acquisition and development of real estate.
