  The Wallick Companies built Griggs Village in 1972 under the HUD 236 Program. Located at 721 Griggs Avenue in the Franklinton area of Columbus, it is a 44-unit community of one-bedroom apartments. The community is made up of 6, one-story buildings on a two-acre site.

  The proposed renovation includes expanding the apartments to 650 square feet, from their current size of 579 square feet, and completely renovating the interior of each unit. This includes: new floors, kitchen cabinets, doors, bathroom vanity and sink, and all new kitchen fixtures and appliances.

  Twenty percent of the apartments are designated for people or households with an extremely low income — 35% or below of the area median gross income (AMGI).
