Following the departure of his New Orleans-based
contractor employer from Ohio, Mr. Wallick formed Wallick Construction
Co. to uphold the commitments and contracts of that contractor. Soon,
he and colleague Sanford Goldston not only fulfilled those commitments,
they succeeded in building one of the Midwest's most respected construction,
management and real estate development organizations. Today, Wallick
is a company which spans the US from Ohio to South Carolina to Arizona,
and designed to meet the growing and changing needs of the real estate
industry.
The combination of Mr. Wallick's talents as an engineer, builder and
general contractor, together with Mr. Goldston's expertise as a Certified
Public Accountant and financial advisor, led The Wallick Companies
to success. The company quickly gained expertise in the development,
construction and management of affordable housing under various federal
programs. This active involvement in the affordable housing industry
continues today, providing construction and management services for
numerous third-party clients as well as for the company's own account.
In addition to affordable housing, Wallick is active in the construction
and management of assisted living facilities, nursing homes, market
rate apartment communities, tax credit communities, high rise condominiums,
retail centers and office buildings. This diverse background has allowed
the company to establish long-term relationships with investors, lenders,
federal housing officials, state housing agency members, subcontractors
and suppliers.
Jack Wallick died in 1995. By adhering to his founding principles,
Wallick continue to progress today while maintaining the same values
and integrity on which they were founded. Today Wallick completes
each undertaking with quality and professionalism, and fulfill the
needs of each client with the same determination and commitment to
excellence that motivated Jack Wallick to initially estasblish the
company.
