Wallick Expands Resident Services Program
Wallick’s commitment to its residents begins with providing quality, affordable, safe housing. However, it does not end there.
“If we’re truly serious about addressing the needs of our residents, we have to think and act beyond housing. While we can’t meet every need, we are committed to taking steps to better understand and help our residents with challenges they face,” said CEO Tom Feusse.
To achieve that goal, Wallick is significantly expanding its Resident Services Program. Currently there are resident services being provided at approximately 20 of the communities that Wallick manages. When fully implemented, resident services will be expanded to the other 140 communities that Wallick manages.
The expanded program has two components. For senior residents, Wallick is partnering with National Church Residences to provide dedicated supportive services at up to 35 additional senior apartment communities. For residents with families, Wallick has tapped Betty Howton to lead this effort. Betty, along with other staff members, will advocate for residents; identify and partner with local social service agencies; and train property management associates at participating communities.
“We’ll begin with four of our key markets – Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo – and eventually take it to all seven states where we manage communities,” Feusse added.
